Blackburn Rovers FC

Blackburn Rovers is a professional football club of Blackburn, Lancashire that plays in the Barclays Premier League, which is the top tier of English Football.

The club of Blackburn Rovers was formed in the year 1875 and is amongst the few distinguished clubs to be the founding member of the Football League and the Premier League. Blackburn became the founding member of The Football League in the year 1888.

The major portion of the success of the club came before the 1930s after which the club was not able to live up to its glory days and went as far as getting relegated in the year 1966. They stayed in the second division for 26 years before they finally made their return to the top tier of the football league.

Blackburn Rovers was taken over by the steel tycoon, Jack Walker, in the year 1991. The businessman made considerable investment in the club and appointed Kenny Dalglish as their manager. The club benefited tremendously under him and managed to get promoted back to the Premier League in the next season for the first time after 26 years.

The fans of Blackburn Rovers were extremely grateful to their benefactor because of whom the club had finally taken a step to reclaim past glory. Another aspect worth mentioning is the fact that the club could now benefit from increased revenue from the sale of the Blackburn Rovers Ticket as they were now competing in the top tier of football.

Jack Walker invested considerable money in the club amounting to millions of pounds in order to strengthen the club. Many great players were signed like Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton and as a result of this Blackburn Rovers became the league champions in the year 1995. It was a dream come true for fans that had supported the club through its entire struggle to finally witness this great day. Blackburn Rovers Tickets sale was excellent as their performances attracted hoards of fan.

Unfortunately, the club was not able to sustain its dream run and the winning team eventually split up. If this wasn’t bad enough, the team went to get relegated in the year 1999 – just 4 years after winning the league. The club suffered another tragedy with the demise of their great benefactor but they worked hard and managed to get promoted back in the Premier League. They have managed to stay in the Premier League ever since but the future is looking bleak for the club which is currently at the rock bottom of the club.

Blackburn Rovers holds the distinction to be the only club, apart from the top 3 – Manchester United, Arsenal, and Chelsea – to have won the Premier League. This is a great honor for the club and fans are extremely proud of this achievement. This is exactly what the club stands for – they may not be the biggest club but they’ve made their achievement by their sheer determination and hard work. This can be well reflected in the motto of the club, which translates into “By Skill and Hard Work”.

Blackburn Rovers is going through extremely rough times and the fans are all calling for their current manager Steve Kean to leave the club. Will Blackburn Rovers be able to fight back as it has done so many times in the past. This remains to be seen.

Valencia CF

Valencia CF is a club that plays in the Spanish Football League which his also known as the La Liga. It is considered as being amongst the most successful clubs of Europe and the third most successful club in Spain after Real Madrid and Barcelona.

The full name of the club is Valencia Club de Futbol and was founded in 1919. It is based in the city of Valencia in Spain with three other clubs which are Levante, Villarreal, and Hercules. They have a fierce rivalry with Levante and it has become common for the Valencia Tickets and Levante Tickets to be a difficult thing to get your hands on when the two playing are playing against each other.

Valencia currently plays in the Estadio Mestalla stadium which has a seating capacity of 55,000 and is ranked as the 5th largest stadium in all of Spain. The stadium is considered as an extremely intimidating atmosphere to play in all of Europe because of its steep terracing. Valencia CF plans to move into a new stadium with a much larger seating capacity of 75,000.

The new stadium is called Nou Mestalla and is a state of the art stadium and it is expected that they will move into the new stadium by 2013. The Valencia Tickets sales have been very good and it is considered that the low seating capacity of their previous stadium meant that they were not able to capitalize on it to the maximum. Since Valencia is the third most supported team in Spain and has one of the highest numbers of associates, it already has more than 50,000 season ticket holders and the additional 20,000 plus season ticket holders are on the waiting list as they will be accommodated in the new stadium.

Valencia has a long line of accomplishments in their name which include six titles of La Liga, seven trophies of Copa Del Ray, two Fairs Cup, one UEFA Cup, two UEFA Super Cups, and one UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup. Valencia has been unlucky as not to win the Champions League despite having reached the finals two times – 2000 and 2001. In 2000, they lost to none other than their league rivals, Real Madrid and in the next year, they lost to the German giants Bayern Munich in a very close match that ended on penalties. The match ended in a 1-1 draw and went on penalties where they were not able to get their hands on their first ever Champions League wins.

If we look at the all time history of the La Liga table, Valencia is at the 3rd position behind the two Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona. Furthermore, it is also the third most successful in terms of the continental titles. It won’t come as a surprise when you’ll be told after this that in the last season of La Liga, Valencia finished at the 3rd position although their difference of point with the 2nd place Real Madrid was of 21 points.

This has sadly been and is the story of the La Liga. It is vastly dominated by Real Madrid and Barcelona and though, Valencia is a successful club, it is vastly overshadowed by the two Spanish giants. This is also the case in the La Liga currently where Valencia is again at the 3rd position currently – no surprises there, I suppose – but the good news for the fans is that Valencia is a strong contender for the title this time around as they are just 7 points behind the league leaders.

Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund are the current Champions of the Bundesliga and are regarded as amongst the most successful clubs in the history of German Football. The stadium of Borussia Dortmund, Signal Iduna Park, is the largest stadium in Germany and is the sixth largest in all of Europe. Borussia Dortmund is the first German team in the history to win a European Title.

The club was formed in 1909 and in its history which 101 years, it has faced extremely tough times which include near bankruptcies and the two world wars in which the Third Reich put a hold on all the sporting activities in the country for their war effort.

The 1990s are considered as the Golden age of the club. They reached the final of the UEFA Cup in 1993 and were awarded 25 Million Marks for their participation in the cup. They used the money for new signings and their investments paid off with their winning the Bundesliga successively for the year of 1995 and 1996. Their player Matthias Sammer was awarded the European Footballer of the year title in 1996.

The year 1997 is a year that the fans of Borussia Dortmund remember extremely affectionately. They reached the finals of the UEFA Champions League to play against Juventus in a match where both Juventus Tickets and Borussia Dortmund Tickets were sold out. The side of Juventus was extremely strong and featured great players like Zinedine Zidane and Del Piero. Borussia Dortmund had been in top form and going strong and fans were hungry to get their hands on the much coveted title of Champions League.

The match started off with Karl-Heinz Riedle putting Borussia in front to the delight of the fans. Juventus tried to fight back and break the momentum of Dortmund but they were unable to do so and Dortmund went ahead to score yet another goal by Riedle. The score was 2-0 at half time and the fans of Borussia Dortmund were as excited as they could be. All they needed to do was to survive for another half and the trophy would be theirs.

Juventus started the second half with firm resolve and the match picked up pace when Alessandro Del Piero scored for Juventus to make the score line 2-1. As Juventus pushed for the equalizer, Borussia Dortmund continued their onslaught on the other end of the pitch and when Lars Ricken, the 20 year old substitute, scored the third goal for Borussia, the fans erupted in total exuberance.

They knew that had done it and it was only the wait for the final whistle that was left. Borussia Dortmund won the Champions League with an impressive victory of 3-1 in the historic match of which it is said that the fans have gone as far as to frame their Borussia Dortmund Tickets in the memory of their great triumph. If this victory wasn’t sweet enough already, Borussia Dortmund treated its fan to another trophy when they won the Final of the Intercontinental Cup by defeating Cruzeiro 2-0.

After that, Borussia Dortmund has experienced a mix flurry of form and it seems that they are back on their way to greatness. They won the last season of the Bundesliga comfortably as they were 8 points ahead with 2 games left. Will Borussia Dortmund be able to maintain their regained form? This remains to be seen.

A.S. Roma Football Club

A.S. Roma is a professional Italian football club that plays in the Italian League, Serie A.

It was formed in the 1927 and has a very rich history which boasts a presence in the Serie A for all seasons except just one. They are currently playing their 60th consecutive season of the Serie A. It is perhaps the most popular club in Italy after the two giants, AC Milan and Inter Milan. They have been a strong contender for the top 4 positions and in the running for the title. The have won the Serie A three times and has won 9 titles of Coppa Italia and two titles of Supercoppa Italiana.  They have reached the final for the European Cup and the UEFA Cup.

The coach of AS Roma is Luis Enrique who recently took the reins of the club this season and the club plays their home game in the Stadio Olimpico. They have strong rivalry with the club Lazio with which they share their stadium. Stadio Olimpico is the second biggest stadium in Italy after San Siro.

Roma has mixed run of form throughout history and it was in 2000 that they returned to their form and won their third Serie A title. Francesco Totti was the captain of the team and that time and the heartthrob of the fans. He was a big factor in the AS Roma Ticket sales and he is regarded as one of the heroes of the club in its history. AS Roma were unable to retain their title and like many a times, they finished runner up in the season.

The club ran into financial trouble and it had to resort to different means to finance it which also included decreasing the strength of the squad by selling some important players. As a result of this, the club finished at the 8th position in the season of 2003-2004 which was regarded as one of the worst defeat of the club in recent times. They performed well after that till the season of 2009-2010. They had bad start to the season and the coach was sacked as result of it.

When the new coach took over, AS Roma was at the bottom of the league table and the AS Roma Tickets sale was declining. AS Roma went on a rampage and remained unbeaten for 24 matches. The AS Roma Tickets sale sky rocketed and they ended up finishing in the 2nd position of the league table from being at the bottom.

The financial crisis has been a major obstacle in the road of AS Roma. Their owners, the Sensi family, had to give up their control of the club in 2010 for the sake of a debt settlement agreement. The subsequent season of AS Roma was full of highs and lows. They performed remarkably as well as poorly at times and as a result of the inconsistent performance, the coach resigned.

The takeover of Roma got completed on 16th April and the new owners made significant changes after taking over the club. It was their decision to keep Luis Enrique as the coach and high profile signings were done to bolster the side. However, some of the big names of the club were sold too. AS Roma is currently at the 7th position in the league and only the end of the season will tell how beneficial these changes are to the club.

AC Milan

AC Milan is a professional football club of the Italian league, Serial A, and is regarded as the most successful club in the world football. The club has spent all but two of its season in the Serie A which is the top league of Italian football.  AC Milan is the seventh most supported club in Europe and is considered as the most wealthiest and valuable club in Italian football.

AC Milan was founded in 1899 and they share the record with Boca Juniors for having won the most international trophies making it the most successful club in the world of football. AC Milan has won the world title four times, the highest by any club, and they have won the Champions League seven times, second only to Real Madrid. Such is the success of AC Milan that it has won all the major competitions that it has competed in except the Europa League. They share the record with Inter Milan of being the second most successful club in the Serie A and they are the only club in the history of the Serie A to have won the league title without losing a single game.

The biggest rival of AC Milan is Inter Milan and their derby is one of the most famous one in the world of football. The two teams share the same stadium, San Siro, which is the largest in Italy in terms of capacity and it is a common sight to see the stadium sold out to capacity during the derbies between the two teams in which fan pour in to buy AC Milan Tickets and Inter Milan Tickets to support their respective clubs. Inter Milan was formed as a result of an internal disagreement in 1908 and it has been since that the rivalry between the two club has been very fierce. The derby between the two clubs is referred to as Derby della Madonnina.

AC Milan faced extremely hard times during the 80s when it was going through financial trouble and it was Silvio Berlusconi, the former Prime Minister of Italy, who saved the club from bankruptcy in 1986 by acquiring the club and investing huge amount of money in it. That is regarded as the beginning of the most successful era in the history of AC Milan and the team of that time has been voted as the best club side of all time by a global poll of experts. The best achievement of AC Milan amongst many other is their famous 4-0 win against Barcelona in the Champions League Final of 1994; a match those fans which managed to get AC Milan Tickets still fondly remember.

The club faced another big hurdle in the form of the Calciopoli scandal and the AC Milan was penalized with a reduction of 8 points which shattered the title race for them. They, however, managed to qualify for the Champions League and turned their misery into an opportunity by winning the Champions League title for the 7th time that season. As a result of the penalization of AC Milan, Inter Milan reigned over the Serie for a total of 4 years. However, AC Milan rebuilt their team and with big signings like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Alexandre Pato, and Robinho, managed to bounce back. They won the 18th league title by winning the Serie season of 2010-2011.
